Thank you so much for considering Kentucky Country Day School. We are an independent, co-educational JK–12 school located on a beautiful 85-acre campus in eastern Jefferson County.

Daily, nearly 1000 students can be found engaged in a rigorous, yet developmentally appropriate, college preparatory curriculum that spans from the classroom to the theatre and athletic fields.  Each grade level hovers between 60 and 80 students, and individual classes typically range from 14 to 17 students.

All we do at KCD reflects our mission and motto: Kentucky Country Day School challenges its students to achieve their highest level of academic excellence and to grow into honorable men and women of confidence and integrity. We inspire personal growth through a diverse community and participation in arts, athletics, and community service. By doing so, Kentucky Country Day School prepares its students to live successful lives and make meaningful contributions to society.

Our mission statement reflects the vision and sense of purpose that unites our community and is summed up in our motto: “Citizen, Scholar, Steward.”
